Jerry The Dachshund's Mechanical Ball Throwing Machine

This mechanical dog toy took two years to build.  Jerry looks like he could play with it forever!

Discovered on dog photographer, Grace Chon's, Shine Pet Photos Blog.   More about Grace's awesome photos in a future post.  Today it's all about Jerry and this mechanical work of art.

P.S. Although the machine looks a little dangerous for little fingers and paws, the inventor equipped it with many safety features including IR proximity sensors.  Read more about it at YouTube where Jerry has been viewed 1,094,952 times since the end of January.

Genius! Can they make a robot dog walker? I love walking Maisie...but she could go for four hours a day!

Put in a request, Linda. Lots of dog owners are asking for their own ball throwers. This guy could start his own business today!

This is so hilarious especially when Jerry starts to run as soon as he puts the ball in.

I won't be investing in this one. Henry won't chase any toy and Gigi's response to a thrown toy is to run after it, grab it, and keep running ...away from me.

OMG! Moira!
I am still laughing!
Thank you for sharing this great video!

Great find! LOL. My Big Tommy would figure out a way to get his beard caught in that thing . I would also fear that he would grow to love it more than me .... a playmate that never wears out.
