I know, I was laughing and crying watching it. So sweet.
So this service is kind of cool, I am responding to you by email, not going
to my blog. But this will show up on my blog and I think it will go to you
too.
Thanks for posting : )

I am replying to this via email. Let's see if it shows up too :)

It did! I am digging this service. I get lazy about responding to comments, because I never know if people come back. And it is very time consuming to email everyone, and doesn't advance the commenting conversation. It's in beta now, but I like it so far.

My fiance and I watched the video together and both loved it!!
so sweet! ( I cried, he didnt) we both want Kramer to start hanging out with more elephants tho (the four legged kind)
Happy New Years Moira!

Thanks for watching and commenting. I know, I love the idea of Darby having
cross-species friends to play with. Although if I let him play with the
squirrels and pigeons like he wants to, I think I would have some dead
squirrels and pigeons on my hands.
So I am responding to you via email, and the comment will automatically show
up on my blog. I am liking this new Typepad Connect system in case you¹re
interested in using it. So far, so good.

OK, it was a real pain in the butt to create an account. I mistakenly told Typepad I was under 13 and then it wouldn't let me correct it. I had to use another browser.
I find that the comments label is a bit small. I had to really hunt for it. Any way of making it bigger?

Suggestion: Have you considered a Recent Comments widget? That feature is really popular on my sites.
Also, please sign up for WidgetBox, it's good at driving traffic that's likely to return.
Happy New Year,
AnnB

Thanks, Ann. I will see if I can make the comment button bigger.
I have not heard of the comments widget. I had widgetbox on my blog for a
while but wasn¹t getting much traffic. May try again.
I appreciate you taking the time to sign up and report back.

Hi Moira...Happy New Year! I love that video...saw in on Sunday Morning yesterday. Precious!

Thanks, Linda. Did you have any problem or hassle signing in and
commenting?
Happy New Year!

Ok retrieved and reset password so I could comment. I loved the video. Great post. I guess if the computer remembers me next time and I can stay signed in to typepad it will not be tough to comment. I personally would be afraid I might loose potential comments due to the extra step of creating an account. It is so hard to get lurkers out of the shadows to comment as it is, why put up a wall in the way of additional steps.

Hi Moria...the only thing is that when I try to post the message...it hangs until I hit reload. Could be Mozilla though...and not Typepad.

I know. I am not sure if I will keep it. But I love being able to respond
to you via email and have it sent to you AND posted on my blog. So, in a
way it¹s a decision as to whether it is better to make it easier for me to
respond to emails, thus encouraging more of a connection to my readers, or
scaring them off with the hassle of signing in. I don¹t know the answer.
I appreciate you helping me beta test, though.
When you comment next time, will you let me know if your name and password
are remembered, or if it is again an extra step.
Thank you : )

Thank you so much for trying again. I go back and forth whether I like this
system or not. But it¹s cool that I can reply to you vial email and this
message will post on my blog simultaneously.
I appreciate your help.
