Have you heard about the flickr phenomenon A Message for Obama where people post photos with personal notes to our new President. The entries so creative and more than a few feature dogs.
by pixiesticks23 who is anxious that President-elect Obama's priorities are skewed.

I wonder what cuddly pop, or strapping dog will be President Obama will choose? Only time will tell...
Thanks and I love this site!

I respectfully disagree with Pixiesticks23 ... the new First Family will need something that connects them during the transition to this new life, and what could be better than a puppy? President Obama's going to see little enough of his daughters; the puppy will be something that brings them together, and bonds the family. No matter what else is going on the world, that seems like a priority to me.

To Clair Lamb and anyone else that disagrees with my statement. I want to point out that having a dog or any pet is wonderful. I have 2 dogs and several cats. I love animals. The reason I posted the picture and message was because I was extremely sick and tired of seeing and hearing people only worried about what kind of pet he would get when he moved into white house! This nation and not to mention the world has so many problems right now and if I had one chance to get a message out to him, it sure as heck wouldn't be about a what kind of dog they should get. It made me realize how many people in this country were actually naive to what was happening around them. God help us all.
