Greg Nelson of Labradoodles for Obama just pointed out that in his WBBM-AM Newsradio interview, Senator Dick Durbin of Illinois did not confirm the Obama dog's breed. As you can tell, Greg is still hoping, against all odds and reported gossip, that the new First Pup will be a Labradoodle and not a Portie.

Eh...not so fast. Latest news I got is that its name is Charlie, he's coming from Texas...he is a Portuguese Water Dog...and he is several months old, and was returned to a breeder. That's faster than Anderson Cooper....
