overheard a conversation between two Puerto Rican pre-teens: “I would vote for Barak Obama because I heard that if he wins, everybody gets a puppy” A misquote from Obama promising his
daughters a puppy when he became president.
Next up, the always ironic and iconic hipsters with tee-shirts that say “Hope is the new Black”. My neighbor’s 80-year old Orthodox Rabbi left her an exhilarated election-day message on her answering machine declaring that he was breaking away from his conservative norm and voting for Obama. My neighbor’s husband flew home from Ethiopia to cast his very first vote as an American after waiting 15 years for citizenship." (full article)
