Delightful Dog Shelves

One of my favorite design blogs is the elegant Black. White. Bliss. I stopped by recently and discovered this Dog Pack from NEL. Each piece is imagined as a pup who will follow you from room to room and hold your mail, carry your books or simply entertain you, just like a real dog.

I adore these pieces for their beauty and their whimsy – not an easy balance to strike. Bravo!!!

...Oh, and each one's named after a famous Mexican wrestler too: Dos caras Jr, Aguayo, Superastro, El Santo, Alushe and Mistico. Super cool.

Vintage Boston Dog Show Poster

In honor of my new Dog Art Poster section (see left sidebar) I'm debuting my new vintage poster available at my DreamDogsArt Store.

I found this c.1890 image in the Library of Congress Archives and turned it into some darling dog lover merchandise --- t-shirts, greeting cards, mugs, onesies, and more. Perfect Christmas gifts for the New England dog lover in your life!

Miss Teen South Carolina, I'm a U.S. American With A Map…

…and my dog is too.

My sister Sheila Cameron designed these T-shirts. She is the only person I know who actually witnessed Lauren Caitlin Upton's response live on the Miss Teen USA Pageant. She laughed so hard she nearly went into early labor (she's due in October.) In case you missed it, click here to see the helpful subtitled version on YouTube.

In Lauren's defense, I think we've all been there, just not on national TV. I can recall a espcially brutal charades game where I drew a complete blank and just stood there for a very long minute. (Clue was Daniel Deronda, title character in George Eliot novel.)

Vintage Dog Art Pillows

The pillows from Vintage Pet Portraits and Art are new. The design is vintage -- from Victorian silhouettes of boys and girls playing with their dogs. So sweet and somehow both modern and classic. (Reminds me of Kara Walker's brilliant work.)

This darling image is also available on T-shirts, onsies, coasters, and more . Perfect gifts for dog lovers whose tastes span two centuries.

I admit it. I dress up Darby sometimes, especially when my mother sends him hand knit sweaters and velvet ruffs adorned with fringe and bells (below).
