I had a vision of Darby looking into the camera with his sweet face bathed in the sun coming up over the vineyard.  But, Bones, the neighbor's cat decided to come by and see what we were up too.  This was the best shot I could get with a cat in the yard.

Visions of Sugarplums

Artist Cathy Santarsiero has extra guests for the holidays this year, a litter of Welsh Pembroke Corgi puppies.  All of them have new homes for 2010, but until then, she gets to drool over the Christmas cuteness of their "long winter's nap."  Thank you so much for sharing this photo on your blog. 

Cathy devotes her art to her love of Corgis at her shop, The Christmas Corgi Store, where you will find something wonderful for every season.

Santa Dog Naps at Small Stump

I recently discovered Small Stump + Studio Choo, a floral shop and online art store based in Pacifica, California run by Alethea Harampolis and Jill Pilotte.  Their wild take on handmade floral arrangements are exquisite, and I have bookmarked their primer on forcing Narcissus bulbs  and building a succulent wreath (as seen on Design*Sponge), projects I can't wait to try.   They also have a blog category devoted to their dogs called "Dog Party" where I found this sweet photo.

I highly recommend stopping by their blog for some bouquet eye candy that will make your winter-y day bright.  And remember, the days are getting longer.  Spring is right around the corner.
