The exhibition Architecture for Dogs is breaking attendance records at at the Long Beach Museum of Art. Created by famed Tokyo-based designer Kenya Hara, it features 13 architects re-imagining the dog house.
The goal: to make dogs and their people happy, and to share the ingenious structures with everyone via free blueprints and easy to follow instructions. Dog owners are invited to upload their own creations via Facebook and Twitter.
Architecture for Dogs is at the Long Beach Museum of of Art until September 1, 2013.
If you can't make it to the exhibition, the Architecture for Dogs website is a visual delight.
And I spent several hours drooling at Hara Design Institute.
Hat tip to Dog Art Today reader Martha Claassen for letting me know about this.
